What We Collect

When you use AmiUnique.io, we collect browser fingerprint data to demonstrate how websites can identify you. This includes:

• Canvas, WebGL, and Audio fingerprints
• Screen resolution and color depth
• Browser and operating system information
• Installed fonts and plugins
• Hardware information (CPU cores, memory)
• Timezone and language settings
• Coarse network information (ASN and country)
• WebRTC capability and a derived exposure verdict, without storing candidate IPs

How We Protect Your Data

• IP Address Minimization: We use your connection IP only to process the current request, enforce short-lived rate limits, and request network reputation. D1 stores neither the raw connection address nor a hash of it. WebRTC candidate addresses are removed before the report is stored or returned.
• No Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it.
• Secure Processing: Data is processed securely on our servers for maximum security and privacy.
• No Advertising Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services. The limited infrastructure providers described below are used only to deliver the requested security checks.

Network Reputation Provider

We send the connection IP to IPBot to classify network reputation, proxy signals, datacenter usage, and the network operator. IPBot acts as a service provider for this request, not as an advertising or analytics tracker. We cache the derived classification for up to 24 hours, or one hour for high-risk results; cache keys are hashed and cached values exclude the raw IP address.

WebRTC Leak Test

When you start a full fingerprint scan, your browser contacts Google's public STUN endpoints solely to test whether WebRTC exposes a different public or local address. Google can observe the source address and request time for that network exchange. AmiUnique keeps only the derived capability and exposure verdict; candidate addresses are removed before the analysis response and D1 persistence.

Current IP Report

The My IP page returns your current connection address only to your browser so you can view or copy it. The page masks the address by default, sends no user-supplied IP parameter, disables browser and CDN caching, and does not write the address to fingerprint history or Web Storage. Network reputation processing follows the provider and short-lived hashed-cache rules described above.

Why We Collect This Data

We collect fingerprint data for the following purposes:

1. Education: To show users how browser fingerprinting works and how they can be tracked online.
2. Research: To understand the uniqueness of browser fingerprints and improve privacy tools.
3. Statistics: To provide aggregate statistics about browser and device diversity.

Data Retention

Fingerprint data is retained for 90 days for statistical analysis. After this period, individual records are deleted, but aggregate statistics are preserved. Completed deletion receipts contain no submitted hash or email and are removed after 30 days. You can request earlier deletion of your data at any time.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of your stored fingerprint data.
• Right to Deletion: Request complete deletion of your data.
• Right to Object: Contact us if you object to processing or want help exercising a privacy right.
